| Description: | After a childhood in Texas, Ida McGarity moved to France where she graduated with a Master's degree from the Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts. Due to an allergy to paint and chemicals, Ida began to focus more and more on her passion for food. She studied classical French cuisine and pastry at the Cordon Bleu, the school made famous by Julia Child. Ida worked under France's great chefs in the traditional French apprentice system including Alain Passard at L'Arp |
